Page 1: Welcome!

Tandoor is a self-hosted recipe manager. At its core it lets you save, organize, and import recipes from around the web — paste in a URL and it pulls in the ingredients, steps, and images automatically. Beyond that it has tagging, meal planning, shopping lists, and a few other features worth poking around in.

Initial Setup

You'll receive an email with a link. Follow it and you'll be prompted to create an account (username, email, password). After creating your account you'll land in themy shared space"space" where you can view my existing recipesrecipes, but not edit them.

Creating Your Space

You need to create your own space before you can add recipes:

  1. On the left sidebar, select Database, then under the Space heading select Space.
  2. You'll see the existing space listed as "Active." Near the top of the page there is a Space header with a green plus icon to the right of it. Click it.
  3. Name your space (or leave it blank to default to your username), then click Create in the bottom right.
  4. Close that window. You'll now see both spaces listed. Under the Active column, yours will show Select; click it to switch to your space.
  5. You'll be prompted to set up your space. This is unnecessary in this instance and you can just click Skip.

You're now in your own space. It will say "Could not find any recipes" and give you options to create or import one.
